Over the course of delivery, participants engaged in weekly creative workshops alongside tailored one-to-one coaching. Creative sessions in areas such as ceramics, natural dyeing, and creative writing offered a welcoming space to learn, explore, and reconnect with enjoyment and self-expression. These sessions often became a vital point of connection, helping participants build relationships, reduce isolation, and begin to believe in their own abilities again.
Alongside this, personalised coaching provided focused support around goal setting, employability skills, and accessing further services. The combination of creative practice and practical guidance proved highly effective, with many participants moving from initial hesitation to active engagement, increased confidence, and clearer direction. Some progressed into employment, training, or volunteering, while others made important steps towards readiness for future opportunities.
As we reflect on the impact achieved, we also look ahead. The programme will be starting again soon, continuing to support more people who may benefit from this kind of holistic, person-centred approach. There is a clear need for safe, supportive spaces where people can rebuild confidence, skills, and connection at their own pace and RISE2Thrive is designed to meet that need.
The learning from this cycle reaffirms the importance of combining creativity, wellbeing, and practical support. It shows what is possible when people are given time, trust, and the right environment to grow and we look forward to building on this impact with future participants and communities.
