Willow Robin

Date: Thursday, November 2, 2023
Time: 10am - 12pm, 1pm - 3pm
Venue: The Courthouse
All materials and tools provided.
Using simple weaving techniques, learn how to create your very own willow robin!

Join Wendy from Twigs & Sprigs at Thirsk Rural Arts and learn the art of weaving.

Get hands-on during this one day workshop. Wendy will guide you through the process of creating  your own willow robin to take home a beautiful collection of willow sculptures for your home.

Within this workshop, you will explore the process whilst learning about a variety of different weaving techniques. Weaving can be quite tough on your hands – a good level of manual dexterity is required.

Wendy’s willow workshops are addictive and also therapeutic. You won’t want to put the willow down in anticipation of seeing the finished sculpture. Everyone’s sculpture is unique, each with its own character and personality.

The workshops are fun and friendly with the satisfaction of producing your own sculpture to adorn your home

Wendy set up Twigs & Sprigs in April 2017, having turned her hobby of willow-weaving into a business. With 18 years teaching experience and her passion for art and all things nature, Twigs & Sprigs was born.
