Willow Deer

All materials and tools provided, but you are more than welcome to bring along your favourite pair of secateurs and an apron if you wish. Please also bring along gardening gloves if you have them.

Using simple weaving techniques create your own willow deer. The perfect addition to your home!

Get hands-on during this one day workshop. Weave your own willow woodland deer and take home a beautiful willow sculpture for your garden. Within this workshop, you will explore the process whilst learning about a variety of willow and different weaving techniques.

This workshop will be delivered by Wendy Bristow who set up her business ‘Twigs & Sprigs’ in April 2017. With 18 years of teaching experience, Wendy’s willow workshops are fun, addictive and also therapeutic.

  • Please treat all willow sculptures with 50:50 boiled linseed oil and turps 3 times a year if keeping your sculpture outside.

  • If The Courthouse opens before your workshop starts, you’re welcome to browse our artisan shop – maybe we stock the artist running the workshop!
  • You’re welcome to grab a coffee of a snack from our friendly café and take it through into the workshop with you
  • If you have any access requirements, let us know.
  • There is no parking at The Courthouse except for Blue Badge holders who must let us know they will be needing the space
