On Tuesday 8th September join Easingwold Community Hub for a wonderfully creative afternoon where you’ll learn how to craft your very own Willow Basket weaving under the expert guidance of artist Monica Critchley in partnership with Rural Arts Thirsk.
Whether you’re a complete beginner or already have some experience, you’ll be made very welcome.

You will learn to lock down the rods onto a base, weaving techniques including the three rod wale, randing/single weaving, slewing, weaving a border and twisting a handle. The basket makes a lovely gift or keepsake and can have a variety of uses. It looks pretty when displayed with a little jar of flowers.
