Silver Clay

Date: Wednesday, May 15, 2024
Time: 10am-4pm
Venue: The Courthouse
All materials provided.
Silver Clay Introduction to Jewellery Course – perfect for beginners and experienced alike.
Come along and spend a day creating your own jewellery. A pendant, some earrings maybe both. All materials will be provided. Bring an apron on the day.  You will be given 10g silver clay and you may purchase more on the day if you wish. All earwires, earring stud wires, jumprings and black cloth necklaces are included as required.
Learn how to do mould making of nature objects and use textures and other techniques to create your own individual jewellery. All moulds can be taken away with you. Once fired in a kiln the clay disappears and leaves you with a pure silver item which will be of hallmarked quality..
Heather, an enameller and silversmith, lives in Thirsk and her work is displayed in galleries. She is also a ‘Heart and Crafts’ tutor for Rural Arts and is part of North Yorkshire Open Studios in 2024.
