Carve and print unique festive card designs, to give to you loved ones this Christmas
Learn the traditional process of carving a design into lino. Print your design onto a range of paper to create your very own Christmas cards.
You will draw your design and then transfer it to your lino. You will then cut out of the linoleum surface with a sharp knife, a V-shaped chisel or gouge; the remaining un-carved areas will be applied with ink, to produce a mirrored print.
You will be able to use your linocut to create several printed card, approximately a5 or similar.
Your tutor will be Catherine Gray. Catherine is visual artist living in North Yorkshire who specialises in textiles and design and has years of experience in teaching.
