PEACE of Mind: Painting to Music

Take part in our relaxed wellbeing workshop and get lost in music whilst creating expressive paintings.

In this workshop you will use an assortment of colourful paints that have been combined with flavoured essences, to create a relaxing and sensory experience. Listen to music and use the rhythms and melodies to inspire your creativity.

Your tutor will be Katrina Addison, an artist living in North Yorkshire who is passionate about inspiring creativity in the people she teaches.

Suitable For: 

  • This workshop is funded by North Yorkshire County Council as part of the Suicide Prevention Grant. Therefore we particularly want to make this available for those who have been impacted by poor mental health in some way, whether personally or through those they love.

  • This session is offered as a drop-in workshop so you are able to attend the full three hours or just part of the workshop if you wish

  • If The Courthouse opens before your workshop starts, you’re welcome to browse our artisan shop – maybe we stock the artist running the workshop!
  • You’re welcome to grab a coffee of a snack from our friendly café and take it through into the workshop with you
  • If you have any access requirements, let us know.
  • There is no parking at The Courthouse except for Blue Badge holders who must let us know they will be needing the space
