PEACE of Mind: Mindful Journals

Date: Saturday, September 24, 2022
Time: 10am - 1pm
Venue: The Courthouse
All materials and tools are provided.

Learn the therapeutic process of journalling and discover a range of decorative techniques to create your very own mixed media journal.

Take part in our half day workshop, with wellbeing refreshment breaks integrated as part of the session.

You will learn simple bookbinding methods for the first part of the workshop. You will then be shown the relaxing technique of neurographic drawings, as a way to fill your journal. Choose from a range of colourful pencils to create abstract images and different details within your drawings.

In the final part of the workshop you will explore free-writing and blackout poems, as another mindful technique to fill your journals. Take your handmade book home at the end of the session and fill it with even more drawings, writings and other creative techniques!

Your tutor will be Cloe Sparrow. Based in the North East, Cloe loves to experiment with different mediums and specialises in bookbinding, painting nd mixed media. Cloe loves to encourage and inspire others to discover their creativity and to develop through experimentation.
