Merlin’s Mini Spellbook (October Half Term)

“Alakazam, Flipendo, Abracadabra”. Unleash your inner magician, wizard or witch, in our October half term workshops, inspired by all things magic!

Create your very own mini spell book inspired by the famous and legendary wizard, Merlin.

Learn how to use paints and natural materials to “age” your paper. Use colourful acrylics and glitter to create a magical cover, and be guided by the tutor on calligraphy techniques to create writing for your book. Add a lovely bow or colourful thread to finish off your book.

Remember to leave some blank to fill in later. Use your book to keep all of your spells, or as a diary or sketchbook!

Suitable For: Ages 2+

Other Info:

  • All children aged 7 and under, must be accompanied by an adult. If you wish to join in with your child and make your own creation, please buy another ticket.
  • If you are simply accompanying your child. there is no need to purchase an additional ticket.
  • A pre-order form will be available at each session should you wish to buy lunch in our cafe after your workshop. You can view our menu here.

  • If The Courthouse opens before your workshop starts, you’re welcome to browse our artisan shop – maybe we stock the artist running the workshop!
  • You’re welcome to grab a coffee of a snack from our friendly café and take it through into the workshop with you
  • If you have any access requirements, let us know.
  • There is no parking at The Courthouse except for Blue Badge holders who must let us know they will be needing the space
