Make your own marbled scarf in a relaxing, creative day of fabric marbling and hand stitching.
Create your own marbled scarf in this full day workshop.
Learn the unique process of marbling, a wonderful way of uniquely decorating fabrics. You will be shown the art of settling colourful ink on the surface of water and transferring the pattern to fabric, as an alternative to the traditional paper used in marbling.
You will be provided with a variety of different fabrics and inks to experiment with and create fabulously patterned surfaces. Finish off your scarf with hand stitching techniques to make for a beautifully finished piece you’ll be proud to show off.
You will be guided by artist Tabitha Grove. Tabitha is a visual artist living in North Yorkshire and has regularly exhibited work which explores our relationships with ourselves and our surroundings through various mediums.
Tabitha is an experienced workshop facilitator and loves nothing more than to share her skills. She wants her work to inspire us to be open minded, inquisitive and playful.
