Make & Meet: Paint a Tote Bag

Get creative and design your own colourful fabric tote bag in this relaxed

Our Make & Meet workshops are all about giving something new a go in a welcoming and sociable environment. Whether you’re picking up a paintbrush for the first time or simply looking to spend a couple of hours being creative, these sessions are designed to help you unwind, meet new people and enjoy the process of making.

You’ll be provided with a calico shopping bag ready to transform using fabric paints. Choose from a stained-glass-inspired template, work with stencils and resist-painting techniques, or let your imagination take over and paint your own design completely from scratch. You’ll also have the option to personalise your finished bag with a logo, message or lettering using fabric markers.

No previous experience is needed – simply come along, have a go and enjoy a creative session alongside others. At the end, you’ll have your own hand-painted reusable tote bag to take home.

Your ticket includes:

  • All materials and equipment.
  • Friendly step-by-step guidance.
  • Your finished tote bag to take home.

No experience is necessary, just come along, have a go and enjoy a relaxing morning of creativity.

Thanks to the generosity of our volunteer artists, we’re able to offer this session at a subsidised price of just £8 per person.
