Draw and paint dogs. Learn how to develop your observational skills for our furry friends!

Course tutor Jo Lawson will begin with an introduction to basic sketching techniques, emphasizing observation and proportion to ensure accurate representation. Participants will learn how to break down the anatomy of dogs into simple shapes and forms, laying the foundation for more detailed sketches. Jo will guide you through various techniques to tackle fur and features through practical exercises as well as give you the opportunity to try different materials and mediums.
The course aims to foster not only technical skills in observational drawing but also a deeper appreciation for the art of capturing the charm and personality of our canine companions.
Jo completed a degree at Winchester School of Art and worked in the art and design industry before gaining a PGCE and has been teaching for over 20 years.
