During the course you will explore how to create your own watercolour landscapes. You will  learn about painting washes and glazes, ‘wet on wet’ techniques, resists, and more.

Gain confidence using this popular medium, with step by step demonstrations, and individual support.  You will be shown how to paint skies, trees, water, and mountains to include within your compositions and finish the course with your very own stunning, landscapes in watercolour.

Your tutor will be Jo Lawson. Jo is an artist and qualified art teacher with over 25 years’ experience inspiring and teaching art including, painting and drawing, textiles and printing.

After graduating from Winchester School of Art in 1994 , Jo worked as a textile designer and artist for a number of years before qualifying as a teacher. After years of inspiring creativity in the classroom, she rediscovered her textile roots and now explores her own work combining felt and print, inspired by the landscapes and coasts around her home in Yorkshire.
