Fabric Sculpted Santa Gnomes

Date: Friday, November 10, 2023
Time: 10am - 1pm
Venue: The Courthouse
All materials and tools are provided.

Using fabric sculpting techniques, create your very own Santa Gnome!

In this workshop you will work with artist, Abigail Lagden, to create a cute little Santa Gnome for either your home or garden this festive season.

You will learn how to create three dimensional base structure before adding fabrics and embellishments to bring your gnome to life.

Once dry, you will use a dry brushing technique to add colour and shading to enhance the fabric texture and surface detail.

Your finished gnome will measure approximately 20 cm tall and will be ready to take home at the end of the session.

Based in County Durham, Abigail Lagden creates fabric sculptures and mixed media pieces using a wide variety of fabrics, a fabric hardener and an array of other materials. She has a love of all things magical, mystical and fantastical, and this influence is evident throughout her work. Abigail loves to encourage and inspire others to discover their creativity and to develop through experimentation.

Suitable For: Suitable for all abilities. Just bring your imagination!
