EVENT: World Environment Day - Sock Monkeys

Date: Saturday, June 4, 2022
Time: 10.30am - 12pm
Venue: The Courthouse
Your socks to upcycle!

To mark World Environment Day, join Rural Arts for our creative workshops on all things recycling!

Rural Arts is running two up-cycling workshops for adults, as well as a morning session suitable for children and families on Saturday 4th June, to celebrate World Environment Day on 5th June.

In this session, you will learn how to create your very own monkeys from your old socks. Go rooting through your drawers at home and find the perfect patterned socks to create your monkey.

Choose the brightest and boldest socks you can find, to create a monkey with bags of personality! Make sure not to become a sock thief though, and ask permission beforehand if the socks don’t belong to you!

Suitable For: Ages 5+

Other info:

  • Please note this workshop is aimed towards young people and their families. If you are an adult and would like to make your own monkey alongside your child, please buy an extra ticket.
  • Please bring along your own socks to make your monkeys.
