A Taste of Art: Black History Month – Charcoal Studies of Gordon Parks’ Photography

With all materials included and each workshop suitable for beginners, our Wednesday morning Taste Of… sessions give the perfect introduction to a range of artistic styles and techniques.

Experiment with traditional charcoal drawing. Learn how to structure a drawing using simple outlines and a variety of shading techniques.

Work on your observation skills by drawing from Gordon Parks’ black and white photography.

Suitable For: All abilities.

Other Info:

  • Please feel free to bring your own personal drawing resources to the workshop if you wish.
  • A pre-order form will be available at each session should you wish to buy lunch in our cafe after your workshop. You can view our menu here.

  • If you have any access requirements, let us know.
  • There is no parking at The Courthouse except for Blue Badge holders who must let us know they will be needing the space
