Join us on Saturday afternoons for this tutor led drawing course, aimed at very beginners, in a friendly, supportive studio environment.
Printmaking is one of the most unique and diverse ways of creating distinctive pieces. During this course, you will learn and explore a range of techniques to create your own ‘original’ prints.
Each week you will discover how to create prints based on different methods including mono-printing, linocut printing (relief), collagraph printing (Intaglio) and stencil based prints. You will also learn how to use a combination of different techniques for a single print.
You will have the opportunity to work with a variety of materials, inks, textures and references in addition to learning to use a printing press.
Your tutor will be Lauren Henderson. Lauren is a creative who loves to explore all things arts. She studied at Art and Design at CCAD before gaining a First Class BA Hons Degree in Graphic Arts at Leeds Metropolitan University, specialising in illustration and printmaking.
Lauren is a qualified teacher and has continued to share her practise throughout her career whilst also working as an Arts teacher and workshop leader, whether it be a big scale community event or a small skills workshop, she loves to share her passion.
