A Taste of Art: Linocut Printed Cards

Date: Wednesday, March 6, 2024
Time: 10:30am - 12:30pm
Duration: 2hrs
Venue: The Courthouse
All materials are provided.

With all materials included and each workshop suitable for beginners, our Wednesday morning Taste Of… sessions give the perfect introduction to a range of artistic styles and techniques.

Learn the traditional process of relief printing. Print your design onto a range of cards to share.
You will draw your design, transfer it to your lino and then cut out of the linoleum surface with a sharp knife, a V-shaped chisel or gouge. The remaining un-carved areas will be applied with ink, to produce a mirrored print.
You will be able to use your linocut stamps to create several cards.

Suitable For: All abilities.

Other Info:

  • Please bring an apron or wear old clothing.
  • A pre-order form will be available at each session should you wish to buy lunch in our cafe after your workshop. You can view our menu here.
