Create a more personalized card for friends and family this Christmas.

Our Wednesday morning Taste Of… sessions give the perfect introduction to a range of artistic styles and techniques.

Within this workshop you will be create a design taking inspiration from a number of classic Christmas motifs, including mistletoe, robins, Christmas puddings, wreaths and more . You will draw your design and then transfer it to your linocut. You will then cut out of the linoleum surface with a sharp knife, a V-shaped chisel or gouge; the remaining un-carved areas will be applied with ink, to produce a mirrored print.

You will be able to use your linocut to create several prints onto cards, approximately A5 or A6 in size.

During this workshop you will learn:

How to create a lino print.

How to use your lino print to produce mirrored prints.

Use of carving and chiseling tools.

All materials are included and each workshop suitable for beginners, making everyone welcome to join!
