A Taste of Art: Lino Print Houses

Date: Wednesday, September 7, 2022
Time: 10:30am - 12:30pm
Venue: The Courthouse
All materials are provided.

With all materials included and each workshop suitable for beginners, our Wednesday morning Taste Of… sessions give the perfect introduction to a range of artistic styles and techniques.

Within this workshop you will be creating a design inspired by your home. You will draw your design and then transfer it to your lino. You will then cut out of the linoleum surface with a sharp knife, a V-shaped chisel or gouge; the remaining un-carved areas will be applied with ink, to produce a mirrored print.

You will be able to use your linocut to create several prints, approximately A5 or A6 in size.

Suitable For: All abilities.

Other Info:

  • Please bring an apron or wear old clothing.
  • A pre-order form will be available at each session should you wish to buy lunch in our cafe after your workshop. You can view our menu here.
