Green Men and Gargoyles (Tues 15th)

Date: Tuesday, February 15, 2022
Time: 10am - 3pm
Venue: The Courthouse
All materials are provided.

Make your very own green man ceramic or gargoyle, the perfect decoration for your garden.

For this full day workshop create your very own Ceramic green man with the option to make a gargoyle instead. With a longer workshop than our usual taste of sessions, you will have plenty of time to sculpt your creation, as well as to finish it off with a choice of glazes and underglaze paints.

In this workshop you will be guided step by step in how to create the beginning of a face, to then be developed however you wish. You will then explore a various number of ceramic techniques including slab rolling, impression making and joining using slip.

Sorcha McCole is an artist living in Leeds and working at Rural Arts, as the visual arts co-ordinator. She has taught a wide variety of ceramics workshops and enjoys learning new skills and techniques in her spare time.

Suitable For: All abilities.

Other Info:

  • Please allow up to 3-4 weeks for your ceramics to be fired.
  • When booking ensure that you give us your correct contact details so we are able to let you know when your work is ready for collection.
