Got an itching for a stitching?

Our Wednesday morning Taste Of… sessions give the perfect introduction to a range of artistic styles and techniques.

Machine Embroidery is the technique of using a sewing machine to create a pattern on a textile of your choice. You can use this to create a very diverse range of patterns and designs, making it a great skill for those who want to express themselves through sewing.

During this workshop you will learn:

The expressive technique of freehand machinery embroidery in our popular two hour workshop.

How to use a needle to fabric as you would pen to paper. with a range of fabrics provided.

How using examples to take inspiration from can help you to develop your own work.

All materials are included and each workshop suitable for beginners, making everyone welcome to join!

  • We don’t issue physical tickets – just bring your email confirmation or order reference along
  • If The Courthouse opens before your workshop starts, you’re welcome to browse our artisan shop – maybe we stock the artist running the workshop!
  • You’re welcome to grab a coffee of a snack from our friendly café and take it through into the workshop with you
  • If you have any access requirements, let us know.
  • There is no parking at The Courthouse except for Blue Badge holders who must let us know they will be needing the space
