With all materials included and each workshop suitable for beginners, our Wednesday morning Taste Of… sessions give the perfect introduction to a range of artistic styles and techniques.
Freehand Machine Embroidery is the technique of using a sewing machine to create a pattern on a textile of your choice. You can use this to create a very diverse range of patterns and designs, making it a great skill for those who want to express themselves through sewing. This extended workshop, with Linda Breckon, will show you the expressive technique of freehand machinery embroidery and how to use a needle to fabric as you would pen to paper. You will also learn how to use your design to create a 3-d textiles piece.
Suitable For: All abilities.
