Summer Music Series – So I’m not a Princess

Friday, May 24, 2024
Time: 6.30pm
Venue: The Courthouse

A coming-of-age cabaret told through iconic princess and musical theatre numbers by singing sensation, Eleanor Sandars.

Growing up in the countryside, Eleanor had big dreams of reaching her full Princess potential, complete with Prince, castle, singing animal friends and of course the largest ball gown available. Surrounded by woodlands, sheep, and the ability to sing so loudly she could hear her voice echoing through the land, how could she not believe herself to be a Princess?

Filled with funny childhood and coming of age stories, involving numerous pets, a built-in wardrobe and a first kiss.  Join Eleanor on a voyage of discovery as she reminisces through songs ranging from the most beloved Princess tunes to Musical Theatre’s strongest women how she is in fact not a Princess? Or is she?

Drag your teenager along – they’ll love it.

The first in our Summer Music Series presented in partnership with De Mowbray Music –  three laid-back Friday evening concerts. Each lasting around an hour, they’re a chance to greet the weekend in style, joined by talented performers from a range of musical backgrounds. Series curated by composer and conductor Benjamin Ellin.
