Mini Pride! at The Courthouse

Join Rural Arts and Curious Arts to celebrate everything that’s unique and wonderful about families at the first ever Mini Pride in Thirsk!

Take part in fun, creative, FREE activities from colourful arts and crafts to an interactive storytime with our Curious Artists.

Suitable for ages 3-7 and their families. 

Since its launch in 2020, Mini Pride has popped up across the North East and beyond. From Newcastle and Gateshead to Barrow-in-Furness, Middlesbrough and Hartlepool to Liverpool! A colourful, uplifting event, Mini Pride pops up indoors in community/cultural venues, outdoors at festivals and in public parks and spaces (if the weather permits!).

The development of Mini Pride has been supported by: Blue Stone Collaborative, Well Newcastle Gateshead, Northern Pride, Helix Arts, Gateshead Council and Arts Council England.

But first, a few good things to know:

  • We don’t issue physical tickets – just bring your email confirmation or order reference along
  • We open The Courthouse 45 minutes before the start of evening events so there’s time to grab a drink or snack from the bar
  • Seating is generally unreserved but specific events or requirements (e.g. COVID) may alter this
  • If you need a specific seat or have any other access requirements, let us know
  • There is no parking at The Courthouse except for Blue Badge holders who must let us know they will be needing the space
