Lucy Saggers’ limited edition, black and white photographs explore and document the richness of every day life in a traditional, rural North Yorkshire village. Lucy feels incredible beauty and value in the daily goings on, as well as the haphazard shapes and textures of the community she inhabits. Treasuring its people, their connections with her, as well as with each other and with the land, Lucy is impelled to explore and record fragments of contemporary rural stories. That people are known to one another gives her a deep sense of reassurance, but how known and valued are these invisible connections among the community?
