‘XYZt’ consists of moving image works by local artist Naomi Bolser. It reflects the strong tradition of women working with moving image and installation and shows the development of her work over 30 years. Here, Naomi explores how amateur moving image practices can be incorporated into fine art practice.
In this audio-visual installation Naomi Bolser explores how image capture can mediate between our imagined selves and concepts of the ‘real’. In this new work iPhones are used to create a still space for reflection in contrast to the usual uses of such images which either celebrate or document life.
