Café Artist of the Month (July): Jenine Wardell
Jenine Wardell is a contemporary artist originally from Greater Manchester, but now lives locally in Boroughbridge with her husband whilst being a carer for her adult, autistic son.
Jenine has been passionate about art since being a child and has used it to express herself, and as a source of therapy throughout her life. Jenine loves to experiment with texture using whatever organic or recycled materials she can find, everything from wool to egg shells. She works in all mediums from oil, acrylic, textiles, glass and ceramics. Jenine is inspired by going out into various landscapes to discover the natural textures and colours found there.
Images of Jenine’s work can be found on Facebook and Instagram, and her sculptures are on display at the Elm Gallery, Topcliffe.
