Artist Showcase at the Courthouse – February 2026

Join us at the Courthouse for our rotational monthly Artist Showcase, celebrating local artists and community groups in our Makerspace and Café. This February 2026, we are delighted to present the work of Greg Archer.

Greg’s exhibition brings together works created across different periods of his life, forming a reflective visual narrative. Each piece captures a moment in time, unaltered and honest, where the paint has dried and the past remains fixed, for better or worse.

Working without a rigid method, Archer paints intuitively, translating lived experience into marks and colour. His work reveals echoes of people, places, events and emotions drawn from his personal history, expressed both consciously and unconsciously. Some pieces demonstrate meticulous observation, while others move beyond naturalism, using line and colour to re-imagine form and perception. Free from forced realism, the work follows mood and intention, allowing deeper engagement with the subject matter and capturing qualities beyond what the eye alone can see.
