Celebrate the launch of Bookmarked, our new festival celebrating books, storytelling and creativity, by meeting some of Yorkshire’s most talented authors.
Browse a wide range of books, chat with local writers, discover your next great read and hear the stories behind the pages. From children’s books and historical fiction to poetry, memoirs, crime, fantasy and contemporary literature, there will be something to inspire readers of all ages.
Throughout the day, you’ll have the opportunity to meet authors, purchase books, have copies signed and learn more about the vibrant literary talent found across Yorkshire. Whether you’re a lifelong book lover, an aspiring writer or simply looking for your next favourite read, everyone is welcome.
Set within the creative surroundings of The Courthouse, the Yorkshire Authors Showcase marks the beginning of our Bookmarked festival programme, bringing together readers, writers and the local community to celebrate a shared love of books and storytelling. Similar author fairs showcase local writers across a broad range of genres and provide opportunities for visitors to meet authors, discover new books and purchase signed copies.
