Henshaw Arts Exhibition: Printmaking workshop

Date: Wednesday, May 3, 2023
Time: 10.30am - 12.30pm
You may want to wear an old shirt or apron to protect your clothes - things can get messy!

Work with one of the wonderful art makers from Henshaw Arts and Crafts Centre in Knaresborough, as part of their exhibition at Rural Arts.

Henshaw Arts is a northern charity supporting people living with sight loss and a range of disabilities to go beyond expectations and the centre nurtures the creativity of artists of mixed abilities.

You will design and make your own linocut and will be taken through the whole print process from start to finish. All basic materials will be provided. There will be a charge for extra Lino blocks used.

This workshop is part of our Courthouse exhibition with Henshaw Arts:

Colourful, delightful and refreshing artworks from Henshaw Arts & Crafts Centre, Knaresborough: a day centre which nurtures the creativity of artists of mixed abilities: Art-makers with no formal training but for whom creating is an integral part of their being.

This touring show originally formed part of the Art-maker 2022 festival and symposium: a two-day event with the aim to dispel myths, learn best practice, challenge stereotypes, share stories and celebrate creativity. Look out for our Art-makers 2023!

Suitable For: This workshop is suitable for adults and supervised children over the age of 8.
