Stepping Stones Supported Volunteering
Step into something new for 2026!
Sign-up deadline – 31st March 2026
Duration – 3 months (2 hours a week minimum)

Stepping Stones is perfect for anyone aged 18–65, who lives in North Yorkshire, and is not currently working or looking for work.
The programme provides tailored support to achieve your goals. Whether that’s gaining practical skills like using a till or building confidence with interview practice we’re here to guide you through the next steps of your journey.
What to expect?
- Volunteering tailored to your needs and goals. This might include learning about marketing, gaining your food hygine certificate in our cafe or supporting workshop and events.
- 121 support from an assigned staff member
- Connecting you with other free referral services

When it takes place?
We’d like you to spend at least 2 hours a week with us. Days and times will be arranged with each individual.
Who can join?
You can join Stepping Stones if you are:
- Aged 18 – 65
- Living in North Yorkshire
- Not currently working or looking for work
