Self - Care Event Day (17th July)

Tuesday 17th July

This FREE event day will involve workshops and yoga sessions in both the training room and workshop from 10am-4pm, as well as colouring and cake in the cafe and a pet therapy corner. 

Frankie Barbour will be delivering two yoga sessions as part of the day.

These will be running at 10.00am and 2.00pm in the town hall. NOTE: Please bring a yoga mat along with you if you can, as there are a limited number available.

Workshops will run both in the morning and the afternoon:

Sensory Workshop (10.30am)

A workshop that incorporates all five senses, through music, scented paints, messy play and tasty treats.

Build your own Self-Care toolbox (1.30pm)

With the Rural Arts staff guidance, decorate your very own box to place self-care objects inside; make your own candle or soap, paint inspiring quotes and positive thoughts onto pebbles, create a handmade mini notebook.

Extra Activities

  • Colour and Cake in the cafe; colour in drawings made by Rural Arts staff Sorcha, Namita and Angela, whilst having a free slice of one of Charlotte's delcious traybakes.
  • Petting Corner; spend some relaxing time with our resident pet for the day.

Car Parking

The Courthouse offers disabled parking for Blue Badge owners. If you will be needing to use the disabled parking please contact us prior to arrival so we can reserve you a place in our carpark. 

Wheel Chair Access

The Courthouse has wheel chair access into, and throughout, the building. There is a lift providing access to the second floor and disabled toilet.

If you are coming to a workshop or performance please let us know in advance so we can allocate a space for you in the audience or studio.


If you have purchased a place on a workshop or to one of our performances at The Courthouse and are bringing a carer with you, please let us know when you book your place. Carers are welcome to attend the activity, but if they wish to participate they will need to book a place.
