Every Thursday at 4pm: Art Club (generally for children and young people)

Materials

The aim of these workshops is to bring you activities that you can achieve at home with limited materials. Everything you may need for the workshop is listed below, but during each workshop we'll explain how to adapt the activity depending on the resources you have.

Taste Of... Basic Bookbinding

What you'll need:

  • Thick paper for cover (wallpaper, newspaper, magazines, coloured, wrapping paper, old cards etc)
  • Plain A4 paper for inside of book either folded in half or cut to A5 size
  • Embroidery thread
  • Something sharp to make holes with (e.g. a pin)
  • A needle (with a reasonably large eye)
  • Potentially glue and scissors

Taste Of... Hand-Decorating Paper (marbling and brusho)

What you'll need (or should try to have!)

  • Paper (the thicker is better but any will do)
  • Shaving foam
  • Coloured inks or food colouring
  • Skewers, cocktail sticks or similar
  • Metal paint scraper (or a thick piece of cardboard, about A5 size, will do)
  • A tray (Line with foil if used for food!)

Extra activity: Paintbrush, brusho and spray bottle filled with water
