Polymer Jewellery (Feb 15th)

The Courthouse Thirsk
Saturday 15th February

(£55 + £5 materials)

Make your own unique colourful jewellery with this versatile, easy to use polymer ‘clay’ (Fimo), with the option to create earrings, pendants or rings.

Polymer Clay (fimo) is a fantastic, easy to use, malleable plastic ‘clay’ which comes in a huge range of beautiful colours. It is ideal to use at home, as it is hardened in a house hold oven, needs few tools and is cheap to buy. In this workshop, you will be guided through several simple techniques to make your own earrings, pendants, rings etc. You will then learn how to fire and polish the pieces for a professional finish and finally make them into unique, finished jewellery, ready to wear!

This workshop will be delivered by Jane Burnley, a local artist and jewellery maker who originally trained as a graphic designer in Manchester. She started making jewellery about 12 years ago, as she has always loved it and decided to make jewellery rather than buy it!
