This course is designed for people who haven’t yet bought an iPad and would like to trial before they buy or if they have just recently bought one and would like to start right from the beginning.

Week ONE:

  • iPad Terminology

  • iPad Symbols and what they all mean

  • Learning about how the iPad works and what its purpose is

  • What all of the buttons do and where everything is situated on the outside of the iPad

  • How to turn on / off, put to sleep and use rotation lock on your iPad

  • How to personalise your iPad with wallpapers

  • Setting up Passcodes and your Apple ID

  • iPad Accessibility, Clock and Sounds

  • How to close down Apps and Energy Save

  • Which iPad should I buy?

Week TWO:

  • How to update Software

  • How to use SIRI

  • iPad: Internet

    - How to connect to WI-FI
    - How to open, search and close down web pages - How to save photographs from the Internet

  • iPad: Emails
    - How to use the main tools on Email (Incl. How to send, reply, delete etc.) - How to save photographs from Emails
    - How to save Email Addresses to Contacts

  • iPad: Camera

    • -  How to take Photographs and record Film using various functions

    • -  How to access Photographs and Films

    • -  What is Camera Roll? What is Photo Stream? What is Sharing?

    • -  What is the main difference between the ‘Camera’ and ‘Photos’ App?

  • Any additional queries from group

Disability Access

Car Parking

The Courthouse offers disabled parking for Blue Badge owners. If you will be needing to use the disabled parking please contact us prior to arrival so we can reserve you a place in our carpark. 

Wheel Chair Access

The Courthouse has wheel chair access into, and throughout, the building. There is a lift providing access to the second floor and disabled toilet.

If you are coming to a workshop or performance please let us know in advance so we can allocate a space for you in the audience or studio.

Carers

If you have purchased a place on a workshop or to one of our performances at The Courthouse and are bringing a carer with you, please let us know when you book your place. Carers are welcome to attend the activity, but if they wish to participate they will need to book a place. 

Assistance Dogs

Assistance Dogs are allowed in the building.
