Event: Hey Clay! (Saturday 18th May)

Rural Arts Thirsk
Saturday 18th May

Hey Clay is an event day that everyone goes 'potty' for at Rural Arts and is part of the GET CREATIVE Week Festival running between 11th - 19th May.

Throughout the event, you will have the chance to meet local potters, watch a variety of clay demonstrations and try your hand at making your own ceramic items. For children, we will have a special 'Play with Clay' messy area where they can have fun playing with raw clay (that can be air dried).

The event day is FREE of charge, however, for workshops we charge a fee to cover the cost of materials.

Workshops are suitable for ages 5+ and all under 8's must be accompanied by an adult.

Workshops this year will include Ceramic Fish, Ring Dishes, and Ceramic Planters.

Once we have finalised our workshop schedule we will email details of the workshops.

Please note: All ceramics created in the workshops can either be taken home on the day unfired or fired in our kiln and available for collection 2-3 weeks afterwards. Please ensure that the correct contact details are given when booking so we are able to contact you when the work is ready for collection.
