After the success of our ‘Self Care Day’ supported by The Scarborough Survivors Fund, we were able to secure funding to continue working with the groups we engaged with during the event through Community Grants 4.
The event hosted at our premises in Thirsk attracted over 50 individuals and their carers, which aimed to raise awareness of mental health issues and to trial a programme of therapeutic “Taste of Art” activities, devised to support individuals take part in dance, performance and visual art activities.
The beneficiaries from the project are a group of people with mental health issues that meet at MIND in Northallerton, Bluebell House, Breathing Space at Northdale Horticulture and Jennyruth Workshops based in Ripon.
