(£55 + £10 materials)
Design and make your own glass panel landscape with clear and coloured fusible glass, adding glass powders and frits to create a wintery scene.
During this workshop, you will design your panel and learn how to mark, score and break out each piece. You will then assemble the final design and add any extra detail as required, with the option to add additional decoration using glass powders and Frits. The completed designs will then be fired in the kilns at The Garden Studio in Masham and will be ready for collection 14 days after the course date.
The workshop is run by David Teece, an established maker and seller of fused glass. He manages The Garden Studio in Masham, with his wife Julie. He has studied courses in Stained Glass and Fused Glass at Glasgow School of Art Open Studios, and is a qualified teacher. David's work is on sale at the Fleece Cooperative based at The Literary Institute in Reeth, The Blue Light Gallery and at Just Makers in Ripley Castle. His work has also recently been exhibitied at RHS Harlow Carr.
Ideas and inspiration come from what David sees around him:
"I’ve tried to capture a little of what makes this part of Yorkshire so special and the series of Dales landscapes will continue to challenge me as I find new ways of capturing what makes them unique."
