Event: Hey Clay! 2021 (Sat 22nd May) Childs Ticket

Hey Clay is back! A regular favourite that everyone goes 'potty' for at Rural Arts, join us on a full day of workshops and demonstrations in all things clay.
Join us for a day of clay workshops where you will get the chance to watch live clay demonstrations on our brand new pottery wheel and create your own ceramics under the guidance of our ceramics collective.
You will learn clay modelling methods including handbuilding techniques, slab rolling, pinch pot forming and joining using slip.
We will also provide you with a selection of underglaze colours to decorate your pieces and fire your creations in our kiln, ready to be collected two to three weeks later!
Workshops this year include ceramic sheep and personalised house plaques.
Suitable For: This event is suitable for ages 5+ and all under 8's must be accompanied by an adult. The workshops are also suitable for all abilities, including those with no ceramics experience.
