Saturday 6th June

In celebration of World Environment Day we will be running a range of free workshops to promote recycling including Rag Rugs, Paper weave baskets and more! Simply bring along your own textiles or paper and join in!

This exciting event is the perfect oppurtunity to see how you can make use of everyday textiles and fabric waste, such as old magazines, newspaper and clothing.

Thorughout the day we will be running a number of workshops. We will be running short rag rug demonstrations in the courtroom, as well as starting you off on your own rag rug to be completed at home. We will also be showing you how to weave paper in two different ways to create pots and baskets which you can use to store things such as tealights, pencils or even art supplies.

Workshops will be running throughout the day.

Suitable For: All abilities

Materials: As the workshops are free we ask that you provide your own materials, however basic equipment needed in the making process will be provided, such as rag rug needles, scissors and glue. For paper weaving please bring newspapers and old magazines.
