UPDATED STATEMENT REGARDING COVID-19
Following updated Government advice around non-essential social contact, all of Rural Arts' activities are suspended as of Monday 16th March 2020 at 5.30pm.
On Monday 23rd March 2020, Rural Arts launched RADISH - Rural Arts Daily Inspiration while Staying at Home. It's our way - while our in person services are suspended - to support people to feel connected and creative during this difficult and worrying time.
On Wednesday 6th May, Rural Arts launched our #RADISH Resource Pack - beautiful, hand-drawn art activities available for download on a 'Pay What You Can' basis.

Please accept our aplogies if you have not heard from us directly - our small team is largely furloughed and we had to postpone over 200 events so some individual bookers may have been ommitted from our communications by accident.
1. I have booked an event, performance or workshop via the Rural Arts' website, over the phone or in The Courthouse
We are looking forward to delivering in-person activities as soon as we can, but at the moment we are unable to say when this will be. It is paramount we follow all Government guidance to keep one another safe.
Once it is safe to do so, it is our plan is to reschedule as many of our activities (performances, workshops, events, screenings etc.) as possible. This of course depends on other external factors such as tutor/artist availability. If you have particular restrictions on your own availability, please do let me know so I can try and take that into account, where possible, when planning.

- We will transfer your booking(s) over to this/these new dates.
- If this/these date(s) do not work for you, then we are happy to transfer the outstanding value as credit against Rural Arts activity (workshops, performances, screenings, café, shop etc.)
- If this is not feasible for you, we will issue a refund.
- If your activity/ies cannot be rescheduled,
- You will be able to transfer the outstanding value as credit against any other Rural Arts activity (workshops, performances, screenings, café, shop etc.)
- If this is not feasible for you, we will issue a refund.
As a small charity who anticipates significant financial turbulence over the coming period, we would ask that you allow us to transfer your booking rather than requesting a refund, as this may de-stabilise us further.
If you are in a position to do so, you may wish to consider donating your booking to Rural Arts. The Government recently confirmed that such transfers of bookings to donations will be eligible for Gift Aid and thus could be worth 25% more to Rural Arts at no additional cost to you.

2. I have booked a ticket to a performance in a village hall via a local promoter
We are advising Promoters to refund these tickets rather than holding the funds themselves. Please contact the Promoter directly.
3. I attend a group like FUSE, Heart and Craft, ATI or Monday Makers
4 of the 5 FUSE groups are commencing digital sessions w.c. 11th May. Please contact firstname.lastname@example.org for more information.

4. I want to book a performance for my village hall - We are currently assessing when is a viable time to recommence programming performances. Please contract email@example.com for further information
5. I come to the cafe or your shop - Thank you so much for supporting our work as a charity through your visits to the building! We will be re-opening as soon as possible and look forward to seeing you again soon. We may have to re-open in phases, or change how we serve you. Thank you in advance for your understanding.

7. I want to speak to someone - We understand this is a difficult and worrying time. It is unprecented in our almost thirty year history, and we want to support our customers and service users as much as we can. Current UK Government advice is to work from home where possible, so the Rural Arts' office telephone number will not be staffed until further notice. 8. How can I support you? Thank you so much of thinking of us during this difficult time. Despite being a small charity, we hope to big a big impact on the communities we work with. Postponing our activities will have a significant and negative impact on our finances over months if not years. There are three main ways you can support us:
- Turn your current booking into a donation - Just let us know you'd like to do this and we will take care of the rest. If you're a UK taxpayer, your donation value will increase by 25%! Please contact email@example.com if you would like to discuss this
- Buy a Gift Voucher for use against future Rural Arts' activity - Our Gift Vouchers can be used on absolutely anything we do - from food in the cafe to a workshop for you or a loved one! Any Gift Vouchers purchased during our closure will be valid in perpetuity, meaning you've got as long as you need to use it
- Make a donation - Simple and direct, helping us to protect Rural Arts for the future
Please do consider supporting other local small businesses and charities at this time. They are vulnerable to rapid change but are so vital to making our communities vibrant and strong.
