Pollination and Bees Event Day

The Courthouse Thirsk
Saturday 16th June

This FREE event day will involve workshops, educational activities, tastings and demonstrations based around bees in the courtroom from 10am-4pm 

Visiting artists Julia Smith and Debbie Maxwell will be running activities including:

  • Spoon activity
  • Hive
  • Bee suit
  • Honey tasting

Staff at Rural Arts will be offering:

  • Bee suit
  • Resources and materials
  • Workshop activities (detailed below) - the family activities are aimed at children aged 5 and over. All children under 8 must be accompanied by an adult, who can take part for free.

Description

Enjoy a drink in The Courthouse Café! The Café will be open throughout the day for you to get drinks and delicious lunches and cakes. Visit The Courthouse Café page to view our menu.

Please bring an apron.

Car Parking

The Courthouse offers disabled parking for Blue Badge owners. If you will be needing to use the disabled parking please contact us prior to arrival so we can reserve you a place in our carpark. 

Wheel Chair Access

The Courthouse has wheel chair access into, and throughout, the building. There is a lift providing access to the second floor and disabled toilet.

If you are coming to a workshop or performance please let us know in advance so we can allocate a space for you in the audience or studio.

Carers

If you have purchased a place on a workshop or to one of our performances at The Courthouse and are bringing a carer with you, please let us know when you book your place. Carers are welcome to attend the activity, but if they wish to participate they will need to book a place.
