Claire Legg

Claire Legg is a socially engaged visual artist whose work is multidisciplinary and process led, often inspired by conversations, observations, objects or life stories.

Claire works with a range of groups with a specialist interest in dementia, with the aim to inspire the lives of people living with dementia, shifting and questioning society’s perceptions from a negative to a positive paradigm.

Claire has been running creative sessions at Saturday Art Club at Rural Arts for many years and also supports young people to gain a variety of different Arts Award Levels, as the in-house Arts Award Advisor.

Claire’s interests and knowledge ranges from traditional creative practice to digital creativity too. The We engAGE project was set up in 2011 to support older people to use iPads creatively and she also supports individuals to develop their digital skills and overall confidence through a digital programme at Rural Arts.
