Learn how to create porcelain clay tiles with relief decoration using traditional pottery techniques such as press moulding and flower making with artist Adele Howitt.

Artist will provide moulds and tools.

This workshop is being run in conjunction with the 'Ceramic Show' at Zillah Bell Gallery which features Adele's work and runs from 28th April to 26th May.

Adele Howitt is an artist who predominately works with clay.  The work has long been associated with innovation, site specificity, creative engagement and place making within the public realm on large – scale projects.

Description

Rural Arts gives you the opportunity to learn or develop an artistic skill in a relaxed, creative environment. We want your day with us to be relaxed, offering you a bit of escapism and the chance to get to know like-minded people (plus there’s the bonus of getting to take something you have lovingly made home with you!).

Get to know others in the group whilst enjoying a drink in The Courthouse Café before heading through to the studio to start getting creative! The Café will be open throughout the day for you to get drinks and delicious lunches and cakes. Visit The Courthouse Café page to view our menu.

Disability Access

Car Parking

The Courthouse offers disabled parking for Blue Badge owners. If you will be needing to use the disabled parking please contact us prior to arrival so we can reserve you a place in our carpark. 

Wheel Chair Access

The Courthouse has wheel chair access into, and throughout, the building. There is a lift providing access to the second floor and disabled toilet.

If you are coming to a workshop or performance please let us know in advance so we can allocate a space for you in the audience or studio.

Carers

If you have purchased a place on a workshop or to one of our performances at The Courthouse and are bringing a carer with you, please let us know when you book your place. Carers are welcome to attend the activity, but if they wish to participate they will need to book a place. 

Assistance Dogs
