Rural Arts turns 30!
Share your memories of Rural Arts to be displayed in our upcoming exhibition.
In June 2023, Rural Arts will be hosting a very special exhibition to celebrate our thirtieth anniversary as a registered charity.
As part of the exhibition, we’re inviting people across North Yorkshire and beyond to share their memories and pictures with us to be incorporated into the exhibition.
Whether you were involved in creating a mosaic sun dial in Cropton in 2008, or saw Phoenix Dance Theatre perform at Pickering Memorial Hall in 2013, we want to hear from you!
We want to collate as many memories and images as possible – with no recollection being too small.
How to share your photos and memories with us:
To share with us, please email 30@ruralarts.org with the subject heading “30th Anniversary Exhibition”
We’re hoping to display as many memories as possible, so we’re grateful if you can share these concisely. Don’t worry if you can’t, we’d rather capture too much than too little!
If you’re sending in images, if you can please use the .jpeg format and label them in the following way:
[Venue] [Event Type & Title] [Year]
For example “Terrington Village Hall ON Tour Team Viking Show, 2017” or “South Kilvington Primary School, Ceramic Insects Workshop, 2018”
Please try to keep your memories of the event picture to less than 50 words. This could be why you enjoyed it, why it was important to your community, or the impact it had on an individual or group.
The deadline for submissions is 11pm on Sunday 2nd April
