Award-winning theatre makers, Story Craft Theatre present their newest children’s show, ‘Bat Crackle, Pop!’ to venues across North Yorkshire during October half-term.
Story Craft Theatre make imaginative and interactive theatre for children to ignite dreams, promote teamwork and create lots of fun. The Story Craft team Janet and Cassie say “our aim has always been to produce engaging storytelling experiences for big and little folk” and with this show, they have done just that.
In their newest Halloween themed performance, a heartbroken Winifred the Witch believes that everyone has forgotten her birthday! However, a surprise party is being planned and Story Craft Theatre need the audience’s help to collect the final three spooky ingredients for her special birthday cake. Expect silly ghosts and funny ghouls as you fly with on the luxury BAT Airways and dabble in spell making!
Bat, Cackle Pop! Is being supported by Rural Arts’ programme ON Tour, which brings professional performances to village halls across North Yorkshire and the Tees Valley. Other performances this winter include Just Some Theatre with ‘The Killer Question’ and an exciting inclusive pantomime of Cinderella by Same Difference Arts.
Natasha Glew, who manages the ON Tour scheme, says “Having high-quality performances touring to village halls is incredibly important: it brings the arts direct to your doorstep. The scheme is only possible with all our lovely audiences coming to their community spaces to support these shows, and the local volunteers who help to organise them.”
