ON Tour Spring 2018

?And that’s a wrap!?

Last Saturday Burden Of Paradise performed at Neasham Reading Room as the last ON Tour show for Spring 2018!

We wanted to show you our highlights of ON Tour this Spring; which brought some amazing shows to rural venues across North Yorkshire, West Yorkshire and East Cleveland. Take a look below to see more.

Cassie and Maggie

The season kicked off with Cassie and Maggie, which toured to Grantley Village Hall, Great Broughton and Grantley Village Hall. The girls seemed to enjoy their time performing in rural North Yorkshire:

Chip Shop Chips

Chip Shop Chips was another major highlight of the tour, with nearly every venue selling out! There’s no way we would be ale to fit in all our favourite photos and comments from the show in this post, so to find out more read our blog post about the show at Hart Village Hall here

Children Shows

Childrens Shows for ON Tour are always wonderfully imaginative creations. Oskar’s Amazing Adventure and Where’s My Igloo Gone? certainly did not dissappoint! The children loved the shows and Bone Ensemble’s set for Where’s My Igloo Gone? stood out especially.

Plan B for Utopia

This Spring we programmed two dance companies, including Joan Cleville Dance, as part of the Rural Touring Dance Initiative. Here’s what one audience member had to say about Plan B for Utopia at Coxwold Village Hall:

“Impressed with the wonderful / athletic creative dancers”

And here are a few pictures from the night as well. It’s great to see so many venues sharing their experiences online.

More Music

Once again, our music shows proved to be very popular with ON Tour audiences. As well as Cassie and Maggie, we also had Remi Harris Trio perform at three of our venues and ended the season with The Burden of Paradise and Snake Davis performing 11 shows with us!

“I have seen the Remi Harris Trio play before, so I knew to expect one of the most talented guitarists this country has to offer, alongside the other exceptional musicians who form the trio…… I wasn’t disappointed!Thank you for putting them on. A wonderful night with an attentive, “listening” audience which helped to make the evening even more special.” (Sutton-On-Forest Audience Member)

Burden of Paradise with Snake Davis:

We are never disappointed by anything he is part of. But these intimate, friendly venues that often bring new listeners and fans are just a gem.”(Helperby Audience Member)

“Professional musicians bringing a small village hall alive.” (Stillington Audience Member)

In just two months we’ll be putting tickets on our site for shows touring across North Yorkshire from Autumn 2018 to Spring 2019. We have even more exciting shows coming up in the next year, including the ever popular Pocket Panto, performing Dick Whittington.
