Some highlights of an excellent day. |
Our FRESH exhibition, our new scheme where recent graduates have the chance to exhibit their work in our gallery, has been a rip roraring success if we do say so ourselves. This week, we were lucky enough to have a visit from The Lord Mayor of York to see this exhibition! She was accompanied by some of the artists and Angela Holt, our gallery manager – there was even time to stop off for a coffee in our fabulous café. It is with a heavy heart that we have to report that our FRESH exhibition is coming to an end this weekend – but never fear – we will be running another one of these exhibitions later on in the year so keep your eyes peeled for that. At any rate, this visit was a brilliant way to round off a lovely two weeks.
What’s coming up!

Unfortunately there is no triple tandem in the show.. |
Remember, way back at the start of this blog, when we painted the picture of the CREATEtour and the fabulous show they were creating? (although suggesting our writing style ‘paints a picture’ might be slightly ambitious..) Well if you head on down to Hackforth, Sessay, Pickering or Huton Rudby next week– you have the chance to see it! The Harmonettes have been touring all this week throughout North Yorkshire, and are doing the same next week with their brand new show Dorothy’s War. It is an amazing show in itself, full of recognisable songs, an engaging story and nostalgic feel, and it has the added bonus of an opening act by our Create Tour participants!
