The Courthouse (Spring 2020) - list of cancelled activities

Rural Arts has worked incredibly hard to reschedule as many of the 200 events and activities that were cancelled at The Courthouse and across North Yorkshire due to COVID-19.

We have managed to find new dates, and new socially-distanced ways of working, for the overwhelming majority of activities at The Courthouse. This has been a monumental undertaking for staff, and something we're incredibly proud of.

However, there are a small number of activities that we have been unable to re-schedule. Reasons for this may include:

  • Low numbers makes the activity unviable for Rural Arts as a charity as we focus on fundraising to recover from the pandemic

  • Material unavailability due to seasonal change or supply chain difficulties

  • Artist unavailability

  • Lack of space or ability to maintain social distancing

The following activities from The Courthouse's Spring 2020 season have now been cancelled.

If you cannot see your event, and have not heard from us about its rescheduling, please contact sorcha@ruralarts.org

My event/activity has been cancelled - what do I do?

We're very sorry that we haven't been able to reschedule all of our activities. There are four ways you can move forward:

1. Transfer to other Rural Arts' activity

Use the value of your booking towards another Rural Arts’ activity. Our new season launches 15th July 2020!

Once you’ve seen our full season of activities (15th July), email namita@ruralarts.org with the name of the activity you wish to transfer the value of your previous booking/s towards

2. Keep as credit

We’ll generate a voucher for you to use on any Rural Arts’ activity, or in our café and shop, or to give as a gift!

Email namita@ruralarts.org with the details of your booking/s to arrange for a voucher to be created for you.

3. Donate to Rural Arts

Rural Arts is a small charity and faces unprecented difficulty. If you are able, you can donate the value of your booking to Rural Arts.

Email max@ruralarts.org with the details of the booking that you wish to convert into a donation. It could be worth 25% more to Rural Arts at no cost to you if you’re a UK Tax Payer!

4. Request a refund

If none of Options 1 – 4 are viable for you, you may request a refund. Email namita@ruralarts.org with details of your booking

Multiple requests for refunds may destabilise Rural Arts further, so we are grateful of your generosity and patience during this time.

We look forward to welcoming you back to The Courthouse soon!
